Background to the Company
Landways designs, funds, builds and operates digital infrastructure and technology systems for high-density venues, mainly stadiums and entertainment venues.
We deliver a wide range of high-performance technology systems over innovative, long-life digital and power infrastructure. In turn, we accelerate returns for the owners of these sites where improving digital services and meeting sustainability goals are increasingly important.
We are innovators by nature and have disrupted the markets we have entered by challenging established approaches in areas ranging from power savings, and cable installation methods to radio and audio propagation modeling and network traffic engineering. Our systems have delivered market-leading performance for nearly 7 years, with our Wi-Fi systems regularly supporting over 10,000 users and our audio systems delivering entertainment venue quality and compliance to stadium safety standards.
Backed by private equity, we offer to invest our own capital to design and build these new in-building systems and the supporting infrastructure and we work in partnership with our customers and a wide variety of third-party service providers who will then use them to meet current and future digital requirements at those locations. We join the dots.
Overview of the Design Engineering Function in Landways
Our design team is the main source of technical expertise for new projects, delivering high-quality design work within challenging deadlines.
The work is varied – assignments could range from designs for equipping shipping containers to be the core of our high-technology systems, to dimensioning and designing our ground-breaking DC microgrid power distribution, to modelling audio propagation for an audio system, to name but a few!
Our systems are built by combining turnkey sub-systems, integrating modular equipment and, where we can add value by introducing components not available in the market, commissioning and managing hardware and software development ourselves. Examples of our own developments are our patented InductR blown power cables and our Speaker ScoutTM speaker monitoring system.
Our Design Engineers are also responsible for supporting field commissioning engineers to enable the systems designs to be tested to ensure they meet their full performance requirement. This ranges from periods in the field offering hands-on technical assistance, to remote analysis of results and troubleshooting.
Our projects are delivered in between 4 and 12 months from mobilization, meaning that our design team gets to see (and hear!) the results of their work, often in a leading sports venue, gather improvements and apply to the next challenge!
