Infrastructure

Landways full-fibre network was installed in 2019, followed by our patented Induct® cabling system and an energy-efficient DC microgrid in 2020.

Core equipment has been centralised in our secure Central Data and Power Unit (CDPU)returning space from distributed communication cabinets around the stadium to the club. With the activation of the DC microgrid 3-hour battery backup is available for connected systems, and up to 15% energy efficiency gained by centrally converting power from AC to DC.

Equipment is strategically deployed across the site using distribution points which providestructured housing to streamline installation, maintenance and upgrades throughout the life of the infrastructure.

Digital Audio

The digital audio system uses streaming technology to over 384 speakers and amplifiers with millisecond perfect control for level volumes and quality music playback. It offers a fully integrated and compliant public address and voice alarm system to combat the challenges of audibility and speech clarity, found in a challenging stadium environment. Delivering specified levels of speech and music quality throughout the grounds, precisely measured to give guaranteed levels of performance, the audio system enables highly customised control for fan entertainment and communication.

The audio system usability is enhanced for operations and hospitality groups with global and localised public address control, dedicated roaming and fixed microphones, and strategically placed audio inputs.

Surveillance Cameras

Over 50 surveillance cameras offer real-time, HD coverage for operations teams, aidingstadium access management, crowd control, incident reporting and person of interest identification. The system complies with strict requirements set by sporting bodies and the local authorities for ground safety and survivability in the event of an emergency.

Emergency Phones

Easy to identify emergency phones located around the stadium connect directly to the control room security team by simply lifting the handset – no dialling required. The system runs on its own virtual network inside the stadium following regulation requirements, without the need for an external phone line to work.

Key Outcomes

Future-Proof Digital Infrastructure: The combination of the full-fibre network and energy-efficient DC microgrid and the scalable patented Induct® cabling system ensures the stadium is ready to adapt to future demands and upgrades with minimal disruption in a cost-efficient way.

Increased Energy Efficiency: The DC microgrid provides up to 15% energy savings by centrally converting power from AC to DC, while its 3-hour battery backup ensures continuous system operation during outages.

Immersive Digital Audio: The Dante-powered audio system delivers crystal-clear sound for announcements, music playback, and entertainment, ensuring an engaging matchday atmosphere.

Comprehensive Safety and Security:  High-definition surveillance cameras provide real-time coverage for access management, crowd control, and incident response, meeting stringent safety requirements.
