Wycombe Wanderers plays in League 1 of the English Football League, having spent the 2020/21 campaign in the second tier of the football pyramid. Previously owned in full by its Supporters Trust from 2012-19, the club received investment in 2019 from majority shareholder Rob Couhig, an American businessman, who now owns 75% of the club, with the Trust retaining 25%. With proud roots within its local community, and a growing appeal worldwide, Rob Couhig’s acquisition of the club has been a driving factor for significant digital transformation at Adams Park.

Throughout the COVID-19 pandemic, the club engaged Landways to design, fund and install new systems to help realise owner Rob Couhig’s ambitious vision for a great match day experience.

With the welcome return of fans to Adams Park, all visitors now enjoy a new, concert-quality digital audio system throughout the stadium, high-performance Wi-Fi, and a number of new systems to improve ground safety and security – all supported by a long-life digital and power infrastructure delivering guaranteed levels of performance.

Increased Sustainability and Resiliance
By centralising AC to DC power conversions with our DC microgrid, using our patent-pending Induct system, and installing our Central Data and Power Unit, we have aided power savings, eradicated surplus equipment, increased system resilience and provided a 30-minute fire rating to connected systems. High-capacity, long life optical fibre replaces multiple runs of old, capacity-limited and unreliable copper cabling, minimising material use, and enabling streamlined system deployment, maintenance and upgrades.

The club have engaged new Wi-Fi dependant digital services including the new digital ticketing system, connectivity for staff and media, and electronic payment devices in confidence, supported by our partnership, expertise and insights as the club develops their digital roadmap to enhance the in-stadium fan experience.

Real-time, latency-free surveillance cameras support Chief Safety Officers and Control Room Managers to provide safe and secure stadium operation 365-days a year. Clear images aid stadium access management, crowd control, incident reporting and person of interest identification. The system complies with strict requirements set by both the EFL and the local council for ground safety and survivability in the event of an emergency.

Instant Access to the Security Team
Easy to identify emergency phones located around the stadium connect directly to the control room security team by simply lifting the handset – no dialling required. The system runs on its own virtual network inside the stadium following regulation requirements, without the need for an external phone line to work.
